VSCode - Column Editing Mode

The keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+L" used to work well to get into column editing mode, but it isn't working now.

 

Checking  the shortcut:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Deleting the existing "Ctrl+Shift+L"  keyboard shortcuts and adding it for the command "Toggle Multi-Cursor Modifier" can not fix the problem. 

Restoring the existing "Ctrl+Shift+L"  keyboard shortcuts:

 

 

Finally found that the keyboard shortcut should be set for command "Toggle Column Selection Mode" instead of "Toggle Multi-Cursor Modifier":

 

 

After this setting, I can get into column mode by key shortcut 'Ctrl + Shift + L'.

 

Two other ways to achieve column editing:

1. Use Alt+Click to add multiple cursors one by one.

2. Enter Column Selection Mode from the Selection menu, and quit this mode also from the menu after editing:
