外研杯复赛演讲稿
生态主题,像我们学校刚学的外研版必修二Unit 2 Wildlife protection
Good morning.
I’ve often wondered: can true harmony exist in a limited world, or must there always be winners and losers?
An old Chinese saying changed my mind: “All things grow and develop together without hinding one another.” Like the sun and moon rising in turn, tall trees and delicate flowers sharing the same soil—each drawing what it needs.
Human progress has long seemed to require nature’s sacrifice. Yet harming the planet ultimately harms us. Must we choose between malls and parks, jobs and clean air? I believe there’s another way.
Near our school, an empty lot sparked debate: shops or green space? Inspired by coexistence, we proposed a “shared green space.” We planted native trees, laid permeable paths, and included a weekend market and quiet corners. Birds returned, children played—it became the community’s open-air living room. This small project showed balance is achievable, step by step.
This is ecological wisdom: not regression, but mindful progress. As a teenager, we face constant choices—humanities or science, passion or reality? But our most important choice may be how we define progress itself. Must success come at someone else’s loss? Or can we learn to let all things grow together?
So when we face choices like economy versus ecology, my desires and the needs of the planet, may that ancient vision guide us. Let’s explore a path where all things grow side by side. Our future belongs not only to the strong, but also to the insightful: in our life, every thread and color has meaning.
Thank you.
