When he came back from earth

Fifty years of endless wandering

and no results.

I answered his question about whether we were alone here

when I found an object drifting in the middle of space

A message in the monolith

And instead of greeting

a cry for help

It led me to a portal leading to their home planet

I am so far from the earth

And they are here,very close by

Who are these creatures?

Friends?or foes?

I've imaged this day so many times,
