How to Disable DRLs for Porsche 911 Using PIWIS Tester II V14.75

Multi-language best Porsche Tester 2 V14.75 is the latest professional tester for Porsche with multi-function and full compatibility. Here I would like to demonstrate how I use this tool to disable DRLs for my Porsche 911.

You know, Daytime Running lights (DRLs) might sometimes be annoying, professional Porsche OBD diagnostic software is possibly to solve such problem.

Equipment:

Porsche PIWIS Tester 2 V14.75 diagnostic system

Vehicle model:

Porsche 911

NOTE:

The function is only available in countries where daytime running lights are not mandatory (such as USA).

Guide for disabling Porsche 911 DRLs:

First part:

Setting the daytime running lights;

Confirm the vehicle is in stationary or moving at walking speed when change the “Daytime Run Lights” function;

The dimmed headlights will always illuminate when the engine is running which indicates that the “Daytime Run Lights” function is active;

This applies regardless of the light switch setting. The lighting for the instruments and switches is still switched on and off using the light switch regardless of the “Daytime Run Lights” setting;

Second part:

Install PIWIS Tester II software

Third part:

Click “INFO” Tab;

Hit “OPTION” button or click the icon of the same name in the deader;

Select “Individual memory” option;

Select “Light”;

There are two options, just select "Daytime Run Lights" to Deactivate.
