  • “You deserve it” Can have good and bad meanings depending on context.

    • For example:
      • Positive: If someone gives you a gift or does a nice favor for you and you thank them then they might say, “No problem, you deserve it.” So, they think you should have nice things.
      • Negative: If something bad happened to a person and someone did not like them or they think they are a bad person then they might say, “You deserve it,” to mean they think bad things should happen to that person
  • “You are worth it” is always positive and it means that the person thinks you have value no matter what.

    • For example:
      If you've been asking a lot of favors from a friend and they help you a lot, you will probably thank them.
      So, then they might say, “It’s okay. You're worth it.”
