she是女性的第三人称"她"，如果你把某个男人称作“she”，那么这个男人肯定不会是一个真正的男子汉大丈夫，而是一个胆小怕事、媚气十足的“假女”。这种男人就叫做“she-man”。
she-man的同义词是“girly-man”。girly源于女孩girl的形容词形式，意思是“娇气的，像个女孩子似的”，girly-man自然就是“忸怩作态、娇滴滴像个女人似的男人”。
