SYMPTOMS

Pump is abending with OGG-01058 error as mentioned below:

2018-07-23 20:46:03  INFO    OGG-00993  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, <Pump-Name>.prm:  EXTRACT <Pump-Name> started.
2018-07-23 20:46:10  INFO    OGG-01226  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, <Pump-Name>.prm:  Socket buffer size set to 27985 (flush size 27985).
2018-07-23 20:46:10  ERROR   OGG-01058  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, <Pump-Name>.prm:  Empty commit sequence number (CSN) detected in target file <<ogg-install-dir>>/dirdat/pmp1/pz000000331, at RBA 1080.<=====
2018-07-23 20:46:10  ERROR   OGG-01668  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, <Pump-Name>.prm:  PROCESS ABENDING.

 

CAUSE

An inconsistency occurred in the communication between Extract and Target Server Collector.

SOLUTION

In order to solve this issue, please perform ETROLLOVER at pump level and start pump process.

ALTER EXTRACT <pump name>, ETROLLOVER

 

Please ensure that the dependent replicat/s process/es are altered accordingly.
