(Solved) Can't Read Card Error Google Pay

考虑到大多数google pay用户在海外,就用英语写了。

You may encounter this error when you make a purchase on a pos machine after:
• You changed your country in google play by adding another payment profile under your google account.
• There are more than one payment profile in your google account.
• There are more than one address in your google account.
• (Not likely) You removed your sim card recently.
I think it may be caused by unmatched address when making a purchase.

Solution

  1. Login to google wallet by https://wallet.google.com/wallet/home (Do NOT use app)
  2. Click on the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner. Go Settings.
  3. Find Addresses. Click Google Account.
  4. Click Manage Addresses
  5. Make sure all of your address is the same with the one in your payment profile.
  6. Delete all the card in your google wallet app. Clear cache and data. Uninstall, reboot, reinstall. Add your card again.

  6. Turn off the first option, which should be something like: “Verify your identity with screen lock or biometrics before entering payment details”
  7. Open Google Wallet again and retest contactless payments
  8. If needed, you can try re-enabling the option in step 6 later
