Variances between material and account of stock when you use MB5L

First of all, what MB5L works was that this transaction looks in the table T030, the accounts assigned to the inventory, and computes the total values based on the accounts. The values shown in the 1st column in the table, belongs to the values in the MBEW table. The FI values are build up based on the BSEG table. The point is that sometimes some postings are set in the MBEW table without being posted on BSEG (and vice versa).

There have been several reasons which are well attributable to this problem -

1) Change in the Valuation Class of the Material Master which results in the fact that the account determination or account used in the automatic posting was changed;

2) Maintenance of GR/IR clearing account via Transaction MR11 after executing the month-end closing (Transaction MMPV);

3) Adjustment of G/L account (JV process) for direct posting;

4) Price adjustment via Transaction MR21;

5) Manual posting of costs directly to inventory account via LIV.

mc.B is a decomissioned trx. by SAP. (LIS - structures on whihc the trx. is based are no longer supported by SAP. Please use the corresponding reports on turnover (rotation) in BW under Inventory reports global > Ad hoc query inventory > C. Exception reports. please check report "ZMMIV_M13_Q0003" in BW or for any further query you can check with BW.

There is one complete report ready for your request. But I can give you some related reports which other plants are using. First, for G/L and inventory report, you could use MB5L. Second, for stock movement report, you could use MC.B, in which you could find "Last consumption, Last goods issue, Last goods movement, Last Receipt". We should calculate break-down by stock movement date, not purchase order, sales order or production order data.

If you don't know how to run the report, you could contact me by OCS.

If you have no idea how to use MC.B, and your purpose is to write off stock value, the correct report to be use is BI report, Inventory reports global > Adhoc Master Query Inventory > C. Exceptions Reports>C.1.2. Write-off Value Excess Stock. Normally the BU controller will give you instruction of the selection view, because the write off should be done based on BU finance policy.
