Release date is date on which purchasing department should convert purchase requisition to purchase order.

Case 1 PR from shopping cart

Request date 31.07.2014 (Date on which shopping cart created in SRM)

Release date 04.08.2014 (Date in which shopping cart approved and PR created in backend)

Delivery date 13.10.2014 (Delivery date as per shopping cart)

This rule is applicable for PR created from SRM.

Case 2

Now we will create PR manually in R/3

In this case release date and request date is same as there is no planned delivery time and GR processing time (These time is coming from material master and info record which is not valid in this case)

Case 3 for Coded material (Stock Items)

Release date is 18.08.2014 (Delivery date 30.08.2014 planned delivery day 14 (calendar day ) – GR processing time (Working day) – Processing time  0 working day (PR to PO conversion from config )
