This article will detail all the procedures to connect to the Linux Converged Cloud Machine using PuTTY and FileZilla.

In order to follow the different procedures, you will need to install two programs: PuTTY and FileZilla.

1. Connect to the Linux Converged Cloud Machine with PuTTY

1.1. Generate Private and Public Keys with PuTTYgen

Once you have installed PuTTY, the PuTTYgen application will be automatically installed. Please launch it after the PuTTY installation.

You can now send (copy/paste) the Public key contained in the "Key" panel to the owner of the machine you want to connect to, who will add it to the file authorized_keys contained in the /home/ccloud/.ssh directory.

Please note that to access this directory and modify the authorized_keys file, the owner must be logged as root (sudo su). Please make sure to paste the Public keys on a new line inside the file and save it.

For your personal use, make sure to download the public and private key by pressing the two buttons related to this action and register these two keys under the names "publickey" and "privatekey" respectively in your local machine. Please also make sure to save it on your local drive and not on your OneDrive.
