　　There have been significant changes in the number of libraries, as well as the number of frequent library-goers, in a city between 2000 and 2016. As the line graph shows, the amount of libraries increased steadily from 200 to 330 during this period. while people habitually going to libraries rose sharply from 350,000 to 700,000, a jump of 350,000 during the 16 years.

　　The primary causes for this growth can be summarized as follows. For one thing, it can be said that the quality of the libraries in a country is second only in significance to the quality of teachers. Libraries are where pupils,university students and citizens spend many hours in doing homework and search for their book reports and term papers. For another, not only do libraries contain historial references and information on various subjects, they have also all the latest reference materials and information that all libraries have plenty of computers available for readers' use.

　　As a consequence,I hold the opinion that a thirst for knowledge cannot be quenched without a fully equipped Iibrary that contains several sets of reference books, treatises and periodicals. At the same time, it is crucial for every city to have large, comfortable, fully equipped and user-friendly Iibraries.

　　2000年至2016年间，某市图书馆的数量以及常去图书馆的人数均出现了显著的变化。如曲线所示，同期图书馆的数量从200所稳步增长到330所，而在这16年当中，常去图书馆的人数从35万人急剧增加到70万人，增长了35万人。

　　主要原因概括如下。 首先，一个国家中图书馆质量的重要性可以说仅次于教师的素质。小学生、大学生和市民们会花很多时间在这里写作业、查有关读书报告和期末论文的资料。其次，图书馆不仅有关于各门学科的历史资料和信息，还有可以获得的全部最新的参考资料和信息。因而，各图书馆均配备很多台计算机，供读者使用。

　　因此，我认为只有修建了收藏多套参考书、大量专著和期刊的设备齐全的图书馆，才能满足人们对知识的渴求。同时，修建宽敞舒适，藏书齐全且使用方便的图书馆，对于每一座城市而言都至关重要。
