    类型一:辅音 + 元音 (Consonant + Vowel)

    规则: 前一个单词以辅音结尾,后一个单词以元音开头。这是最基础的连读,要把辅音“借给”后面的元音。

    3. There is an apple on the table. (an apple)

    13. Put on a clean shirt for the party. (on a)

    14. There’s an orange in the bag. (an orange)

    15. Let’s talk about your new plan. (talk about)

    16. The cat is under a wooden table. (under a)

    17. Don’t give up on your big dreams. (give up)

    20. He is an actor in a famous play. (an actor)


    类型二:元音 + 元音 (Vowel + Vowel)

    规则: 当一个单词以元音结尾,下一个以元音开头时,中间会自然产生一个微弱的滑音 /w//j/

    1. I go out every Saturday night. (go-w-out)

    2. She is always very kind to us. (She-j-is)

    3. I want to see it with my eyes. (see-j-it)

    4. Please do it as soon as possible. (do-w-it)

    5. Stay up late to finish the work. (Stay-j-up)

    6. Who is knocking at the front door? (Who-w-is)

    7. They are coming to the party. (They-j-are)

    8. How are you doing today? (How-w-are)

    9. Let’s pay at the counter. (pay-j-at)

    10. I can see a bird in the tree. (see-j-a)

    11. Please say it clearly this time. (say-j-it)

    12. He always arrives on time. (He-j-always)

    13. Let’s go and see the movie. (go-w-and)

    14. The blue ink is on the desk. (blue-w-ink)


    类型三:失去爆破/不完全爆破 (Incomplete Explosion)

    规则: 当爆破音 /p, b, t, d, k, g/ 后面跟着另一个辅音时,前一个爆破音只做出发音姿势,不送气。

    1. I had a bad cold last week. (bad cold)

    2. That was a great day for us. (great day)

    3. Please sit down and have a rest. (sit down)

    4. I want a red dress for the prom. (red dress)

    5. He is a good boy at school. (good boy)

    6. I’ll stop talking right now. (stop talking)

    8. It’s a hot tea, so be careful. (hot tea)

    9. I have breakfast at eight. (breakfast at)

    10. The old man is very wise. (old man)

    11. This is a cheap bag I bought. (cheap bag)

    12. Look at the black board now. (black board)

    13. I love football games a lot. (football)

    14. She has a sweet tooth for candy. (sweet tooth)


    类型四:r/re + 元音 (Linking R)

    规则: 在美式英语中,单词结尾的 r 或 re 与后面元音连读,会发出清晰的 /r/ 音。

    1. There are a few eggs left. (are a)

    2. Where are our keys? (are our)

    3. Your car is in the garage. (car is)

    4. I need more ice for the juice. (more ice)

    5. Her hair is long and black. (hair is)

    类型五:辅音同化 (Assimilation)

    规则: 特殊的辅音碰撞。比如 /t/ + /j/ 变成 /tʃ/ (ch),/d/ + /j/ 变成 /dʒ/ (j)。

    2. Did you finish your homework? (Did you)

    3. Could you help me for a second? (Could you)

    学习建议:

    练习连读时,不要刻意去“读”出某个音,而是尝试让口腔肌肉更放松,让声音像水流一样从一个词滑向下一个词。
