Dear Teacher Sally.
Well, we made it.

At first, I didn't know how I could help my son pass his eighth-grade year. And I think every teacher wonders if we'll make it through the last week of school. So two words : Thank you.

This year, my son had problems with his grades. And something much worse is about his family. That's us. A few months ago, both my parents became terribly ill. At night, I was always busy taking care of them. And of course, no one looked after my poor boy. He always looked unhappy and just stayed in his room with the door closed and he didn't want to go to school.

I was so worried. But you talked to me on the phone patiently, “It's eighth grade. He's going to come through this and everything will be fine, This is a difficult period of life. He needs space right now.”

I thought about that, too. I know that sometimes a kid needs the space to be angry, sad and to work it out himself, We also knew that he needed time. He went little by little, from hardly being able to get up (because he had poor sleep all night) to a more regular sleep (from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.)

So now it's summer and we finally made it thr¤ugh. My little boy smiles happily every day when he comes back from school. We are looking forward to his future progress. For the rest of my life, I will be thankful for how you helped my little son and my family.

Sincerely.
Erica
