英语_阅读_Emma was unhappy.

Today Emma was very unhappy. Mum noticed it right away when Emmà got off the school bus. When they got home, Mum asked her what had happened. Emma began to cry and said her best friend Jim stopped talking to her. Worse than that, he said that they were no longer friends. That really hurt her.

Then Emma told her mum that she would like to change schools. Hearing this, Mum was surprised But she said, “ You know condition(情况) like this could happen in another school, too. Leaving may not be the best choice, Would you keep changing schools whenever this happens?” What should I do?"asked Emma, Mum suggested that Emma talk to Jim and find out what exactly had happened.

The next day , when Emma arrived home from school , she told her mum that Jim had been upset the day before because when he was preparing dinner, he bit his tongue carelessly. He felt very ashamed of himself, And he was in so much pain that he could not speak and simply decided not to speak to anyone. That's why he was mean to everyone that day , especially his best friend Emma. Mum noticed the smile returning to Emma's face as she said.

When there is a misunderstanding between our friends and us, we should face it bravely and try to clear it up, instead of avoiding it, Good communication is a good way to build a good relationship.

回到家后，妈妈询问她发生了什么事。艾玛哭着说她最好的朋友吉姆突然不理她了，
更过分的是对方直接宣布绝交，这让她非常伤心。

接着艾玛告诉妈妈她想转学。

Hearing this, Mum was surprised But she said, “ You know condition(情况) like this could happen in another school, too.

听到这个决定，妈妈很惊讶但劝说道："你知道其他学校也可能出现这种情况吧？ 

 

Leaving may not be the best choice, Would you keep changing schools whenever this happens?” What should I do?"asked Emma, Mum suggested that Emma talk to Jim and find out what exactly had happened.

逃避或许不是最佳选择。难道每次遇到这种事都要转学吗？""那我该怎么办呢？"艾玛问道。妈妈建议她主动找吉姆沟通，弄清楚事情原委。

第二天放学回家时，艾玛告诉妈妈原来吉姆前天准备晚餐时不小心咬到舌头，既觉得丢人又疼得说不出话，索性拒绝和所有人交流。

 

That's why he was mean to everyone that day , especially his best friend Emma. Mum noticed the smile returning to Emma's face as she said.

正因如此，他那天对每个人都特别冷淡，尤其是对最好的朋友艾玛。讲述时，妈妈注意到女儿脸上重新绽放的笑容。

 

When there is a misunderstanding between our friends and us, we should face it bravely and try to clear it up, instead of avoiding it, Good communication is a good way to build a good relationship.

当朋友之间产生误会时，我们应该勇敢面对并积极化解，而不是选择逃避。良好的沟通才是维系友谊的桥梁。
