Keeping promises

Keeping promises is an important part of building trust and maintaining healthy relationships When you make a promise , whether it's to a friend, family member or colleague , you are giving your word that you will follow through on what you said. This is called being “trustworthy” or “reliable".

For example , if you promise a friend that you will help him/her with his/her homework, he/she is relying on you to be there when he/she needs you. If you keep your promise , your friend will know he/she can count on you in the future. On the other hand, if you break your promise, your friend might feel disappointed or hurt and he/she may not trust you as much next time.

In the workplace, keeping promises is equally important. If an employee promises to finish a project by a certain deadline , his/her manager and team members depend on him/her to complete his/her work on time. When everyone keeps their promises, the team works smoothly and projects are completed successfully.

Sometimes , circumstances(环境/状况) change and it may be difficult to keep a promise. In such cases(这种情况下), it is important to communicate openly and honestly with the person you made the promise to. Let him/her know why you can't keep the promise and try to find a solution together. This shows respect and maintains trust, even when things don't go as planned.

Keeping promises, strengthens relationships, builds trust and creates a positive environment whether at home , with friends or in the workplace.

===============
