rocky linux 8.5 configuration log(2022.3)

• install the ventory software to make bootable  u-disk.
• copy the rocky 8.5  iso file (10GB) to the bootable(ventory made) u-disk.
• use "partition assistor" software to resize the last partition of hard disk, to make about 50G  unpartitioned hard disk space.
• restart computer,  boot from the u-disk just made.
• install chrome
  • dnf update
  • dnf install https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_x86_64.rpm
• set timezone from US to Shanghai

  • timedatectl set-timezone Asia/Shanghai

• let rocky linux support ntfs

  • wget -O /etc/yum.repos.d/epel.repo http://mirrors.aliyun.com/repo/epel-7.repo
  • yum update
  • sudo yum install ntfs-3g
• 支持中文输入
  • settings ---> Region & Language -->Input Sources--> add Chinese(Intelligent Pinyin
• support  exfat  file system

  • dnf install rpmfusion-free-release
    

  • dnf install exfatprogs

  • sudo dnf -y install fuse-exfat
