Review of Blackberry Honey

It seems strange, but one purpose for my visiting visual novel love stories is to ask for advice and return to me myself later. Preference for yuri story is not simply a desire for "double bonus" then, but also an insight over the delicate feelings between girls (you pervert!).

I knew Ebi-Hime from its famous "yuri bundle", while it left me disappointed with its The Fairy's Song. To be honest, I didn't set a high expectation for Blackberry Honey at first, but it was impressive. Though the graphic was quite coarse (read female anatomy plz), it presented the inner world of heroines vividly.

For Mlle Lorina Waugh a Victorian maid who was still troubled in the aftermath of sexual harassment, Bly and its mistress should have been another phase of her pityful destiny without Mlle Taohua, though Taohua is her destiny too. When wounded, we human turn to healing; When healed, contemplating. Once you meet someone dashing with secrets, you might get curious. By accepting he/she as your ally, it simply awaits an opportunity to develop everything. Being a little bit sad but actually plausible, there came a rosy event. It was a classic pathway and a frustratingly natural trap for our Lori to step in. I won't discuss the latent sorrow here, or it would be unveiled soon once we ask:

How about Taohua? I mean... What did all these mean to her?

No matter what did she actually think at the beginning, she wasn't innocent. She being a sentimental succubus in her self-description, I can absolutely understand her love for doting on creatures that is weaker and how powerful it would be if combined with lust. I can understand for we are alike. I mean... Part of me is akin to Taohua.

It is the part from my Dark Lady, manipulative with a lust for "Dominace". It is acceptable for one like Taohua who can live life for himself/herself, who does only the thing he/she want to do, to find a soft girl to dote on, while it doesn't function well here. There is someone else. My "Mercy" is always reminding me of the identities of others, resulting in my belief in "Equality". It sounds strange at the first sight since the antonym of "dominace" should be "submission", while it is neither something in my ladies nor part of my experience. And my ladies, me，are always cooperating for a poise in this parabola.

However, this is only one "stem" from my "Saddle Model" about my outer need. The other stem about inner need connects subjective "Skill" utilization and objective "Knowledge" acquisition. While my doctor harnesses comprehensive knowledge in her laboratory, my Majesty enjoys wielding skills for her scheme. The inner stem sets a pursuit independent of outer relations, inspiring continuous exploration of the world.

From and beyond stems, "branches" could also be organized under the banners of my ladies. Thorough understanding of life and the benevolence of Dr Angela Zieglar work with each other to resonate with the world; while manapulative Mlle Sylvanas Windrunner chooses to make the world tremble at her order. There is no doubt that I'm often more a angel than a banshee, but I know both of my ladies are there for me, completing me for all upcoming possibilities.

I don't have the perk of Taohua to be right often and my story is not yet over either. Therefore, I definitely have enough time to undergo test-and-trial cycles for self-development. Blackberry Honey inspires my model though it fails to complete side stories like Lori's family or the future of Mlle Constance Lennard. Hope that I could be a better writer of mine, lol.
