Github问题An error occurred trying to download

Github for windows安装过程出现了这样的问题An error occurred trying to download 'http://github-windows.s3.amazonaws.com/GitHub.application'.

     网上有方法是设置internet选项中的安全，添加上述网址为受信任站点。但是还是安装失败。

     stackoverflow有个相似问题的答案

then you can try opening github-windows.s3.amazonaws.com/GitHub.application directly in internet explorer and then it should work fine.

 

     无奈地发现http://github-windows.s3.amazonaws.com/GitHub.application在火狐打开后是下载了个application文件（没用），ie又打不开上述网址。

     突然发现http协议应该加个s，改成https后再在ie打开，成功安装。
