1. Auckland
After arriving via flight CX199, we plan to explore the iconic Sky Tower for panoramic city views and stroll through Viaduct Harbour’s vibrant waterfront. We are desire to dine at Restaurant Depot. On return days, we plan to visit the Botanic Gardens, Ōtautahi Antarctic Centre, or take a gondola for city vistas before departing. In Auckland, we will stay at Novotel Auckland Airport.
2. Rotorua
On day 3, we will drive a rental car from Auckland to Rotorua to experience geothermal wonders at Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland and then enjoy dinner at Wholly Smoked. Stay at Newina Rotorua on day 3 and then drive to Hobbiton Movie Set and Waitomo Glorwworm Caves on day 4.
3. Lake Tekapo & Mount Cook
We will take a domestic flight to Christchurch, then drive to Lake Tekapo. Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd and dine at Mackenzies Cafe-Bar-Grill. Next day, the activities will be exploring Mt Cook National Park, hiking Hooker Valley Track, and admiring Lake Pukaki. We are looking forward to dine at The Stoaker Room Wanaka. The accommodation will be Haka House Lake Tekapo on day 5 and at Hawea Hotel on day 6.
4. Queenstown
In Queenstown, our activities mainly include Skyline Gondola, Lake Wakatipu cruises and Shotover Jet. Besides, we have a schedule to take a full-day Milford Sound boat tour and stay at Quest Queenstown from day 7 to day 9.
5. Dunedin & Oamaru
We plan to drive from Queenstown to Dunedin to discover The Octagon’s heritage buildings, climb Baldwin Street, and observe albatross at Taiaroa Head. Dine at Restaurant Plato. We would also like to stop in Oamaru, on the way to Christchurch, for Victorian Precinct and little blue penguin viewing. Stay at Distinction Dunedin Hotel.
6. Christchurch
In Christchurch, we plan to explore Re:START Mall, Christchurch Botanic Gardens, and ride the Gondola for city views. We hope to dine at Pedro’s House of Lamb and stay in Strathern Motor Lodge before flying to Auckland.
