SAP ABAP Developer  & Senior ABAP Developer

Roles and Responsibilities

? The Developer position utilizes both analytical and programming skills. 
? Responsible for designing, coding in ABAP 4, modifying, testing, and documenting applications.  The design work ranges from a low to medium level of complexity  
? Must be able to review functional specification and write technical specifications based on documented standard
? Create and maintain code for batch and on-line SAP applications with required program source documentation standard
? Test and debug for batch and on-line SAP applications
? Do functional configuration with guidance if required
? Prepare appropriate testing and implementation documentation in a timely manner
? Ability to work with minimum supervision, taking the initiative in contacting internal customers and co-workers at overseas

Requirements

? Written and oral communications in English must be clear and accurate
? Analytical and problem solving skills
? Must be able to interface inter- and intra-departmentally
? Aptitude to learn new programming languages and skills
? Capable of testing own programs
? Capable of interpreting and designing flow charts
? Rudimentary knowledge of project life-cycle
? Programming using a 4GL language, especially ABAP 4
? Has knowledge of at least one SAP module SD, MM, FI/CO, PP, WM
? ECC 6.0 experience desirable.
? Understand Business workflow
? Knowledge of any of the SAP tool: LSMW, IDOC, BAPI, LES is a credit
? Minimum of 3 years of SAP relevant experience (Min 5 years for Senior Developer)
? Graduate in Computer Science; SAP Training from reputed institution is desirable

 RESPONSIBILITIES
   Be responsible for maintaining and developing SAP interfaces LE China
   Enhance the already existing functionality, including forms, reports and interface.
   Understand, redesign, and document any functional requirements
   Implement new functions to fulfill business requirements and deliver in time.
   Provide ABAP Development service for Lincoln Electric China & the AP Region
   Coordinate with the Global ABAP team with regards to template changes and new
developments
   Support the IT SAP analysts to implement new projects within the AP Region & some Global projects
   Based on project needs there may be business travel for this position
   Comply with all policies and procedures implemented by the Company to satisfy legislative
 requirements, particularly OH&S, Financial an d Employment legislation.

Qualification:
 A Bachelors and/or a Masters degree in computer or information science
 A minimum 3-5 years related business analysis experience, preferably in a related industry.
 Proven skills as an integral team lead/member on at least 2 full cycle implementations.
 Ability to develop functional and technical specifications
 Must be able to design, document, test and implement programs and systems using
prescribed standards
 Ability to perform the following ABAP functions:
-    ABAP reporting
-    ABAP query
-    Interfaces (ALE)
-    Dialog Programming
-    Function Modules
-    BAPIs
-    BADIs
-    User Exits
-    Methods
-    SAP Script
-    Smart Forms
-    Experience in most of the SAP modules
-    Experience using ALV (ABAP List Viewer)
 Knowledge and experience using Java, Web Dynpro, Adobe Interactive forms and Crystal
Reports is a definite plus
 Ability to convey technical ideas so that they can be understood by non-technical people
 Excellent listening skills coupled with unfailing retention. Outstanding organizational and
reporting skills
 Language bi-lingual in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.
Demonstrated capacity to work to deadlines, schedules and guidelines, with attention to

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Within SAP Consulting, the Global Delivery Center (GDC) is a group that provides remote SAP consulting service to SAP customers. This group serves customers on a national and international basis via tight cooperation with other local SAP consulting teams. This means worldwide, as well as the delivery commitment worldwide in the fields of solution areas including mySAP ERP, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Relation Management (CRM), Strategic Enterprise Management (SEM) and Supplier Relation Management (SRM).

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Excellent degree, preferably in Engineering area
- Sound IT knowledge (operation systems, databases, application servers).
- Good ability to read and write in English
- Ability to read and write in Japanese is preferred 
- More than four years SAP ABAP working experience and some basic application knowledge

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- An expert for development aspects of a customer implementation project.
- Work involves supporting projects at customer locations and supporting an onsite consulting team for all relevant aspects of development work which including add-on functions, interface and reporting
- Expected to take some lead positions in the project and also capable of performing technical activities beyond coding.
- Customers are located worldwide so some international traveling is required.
- Act as trusted adviser to the customer
- Manage customer expectations and avoid any escalations
- Flexibility to travel is a must

WORK EXPERIENCE
- Professional experience with 4 years of SAP experience is preferred
- Must have worked for large organizations or on large complex projects
