When I used Sharepoint Designer to edit the home page of MOSS, there is a very perplexing phenomenon - the show of home page is different between design user and other users, although I (design user) checked in and approved it after I edited it in the explorer editor.
I stumbled on that the approval status of DefaultLayout.aspx in Master Page Gallery (Home - Site Actions - Site Settings - Galleries - Master pages and page layouts) is Draft. It is the problem. Check in and then Approve/reject. It's ok now.
