Fourscore and seven years ago ,our fathers bought forth upon this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dadicated to the proposition that all man are created equal
Now we are engaged in a civil war, testing weather that nation or any nation so conceived and so dadicated can long endure.we met on great battlefield of that war,we come to dadicated a portion of the field as a final resting place for those who gave their lives that the nation might live. It's all together proper and fitting that we should do this.
But in a larger sense,we can not dadicated,we can not consecrate,we can not hollow this ground.the brave man ,living and dead ,has consecrated it far above our poor power to add or detract.the world will little note or long remember what we say here, but it will never forget what they did here.It is for us ,the living ,rather dadicated to the unfinished work which they who fought has thus far noblely advanced. It is for rather dadicated to the great test remainnig before us that from these hornored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave their last full measure of devotion ,that we highly resolve that these dead shall not died in vain, that this nation shall have a new birth of freedom ,that the nation of the people ,by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth.
