Neuroimaging studies of verbal working memory training have shown that some regions are recruited during training, which include the inferior parietal lobule(IPL), Broca’s area (i.e., the left inferior frontal gyrus,lIFG), dorsal lateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) (Olesen et al., 2003;Westerberg and Klingberg, 2007; Zhang et al., 2013).
These distributed regions interact to be consisted of a working memory network (WMN) in which the prefrontal cortex and the parietal cortex are deemed to be the two
