Failed to extend swap file from 0kb to XXXX GB

I get below errors while starting a VM on the ESXi Server .

Failed to start the virtual machine. Failed to power on VM. Could not power on virtual machine: msg.vmk.status.VMK_NO_SPACE. Current swap file size is 0 KB. Failed to extend swap file from 0 KB to XXXXX KB. Current swap file size is 0 KB. Failed to extend swap file from 0 KB to XXXXX KB

Step 1: Make sure there is enough space from the data store

Check if there are enough free space there is on datastore where virtual machine swap file is located

Step 2: Make sure to delete any snapshots (This takes up space)

If you can extend the size of the OS and then try again, or if you're referring to the vSwap file, check to see if its stored with the VM (Default) or if its been moved to another datastore (i.e. the host's swapfile datastore - which could be out of space as well).

Step 3: If all fails (try going to edit settings of your VM you are trying to modify)

At Edit Settings windows, try reserving the amount of memory for the VM inside the Settings for Memory say like 16 GB RAM or less. Power the VM and it should boot normally!
