Q：If China was stealing US tech for years, why wasn't anything done to stop them?

A: The situation was not created by stupidity but by greed.

• No labor laws, no pullution laws, ..., a void in intellectual property laws. China was not stealing technology. Stealing is a legal term.
• Those companies chose to do business in China, knowing that they did not have legal protection.
• They continued to do business in China because they were making more money than they were losing.

Then things changed…inflation, labor costs, shipping etc…suddenly the losses seemed greater. Now China are feeling the pressure to change.
If every company harmed by the lack of legal protection pulled out then the laws would change fast.

Q: Why do 80 percent of small businesses fail in the first five years?

A: There are numerous reasons. Furthermore, I believe it to be more like 95%. Many businesses before it generates it’s first $1,000.00.

• A business owner have not done enough research into the business they are pursuing.
• inadequate cash on hand, or too much cash;
• rely on their cashs to sustain the business instead of generating sales;
• lack of resilience.

Regardless of the business that you are in, you need to focus on two things.

1. Getting customers
2. Making sales

In short, businesses fail because being a business owner is not for the masses.
