Should plastic bags be banned totally?

> In my opinion, the use of plastic bags should be banned completely. The main concern is the fact that majority of the plastic bags are not biodegradable, causing a significant impact on our environment, particularly pollution issues worldwide, plastic bags are responsible for the deaths of huge number of marine species, who mistake the bags for food.
> But iI think plastic bag should be banned step by step , instead of ban it immidiately. we should gradually try out banning the use of plastic bags, like to place a tax on plastic bags, in this way you will cut down the plastic bag use without limit people's choice. Then promote bags that made by cotton or paper to the public. And go a step further, the plastic bags should be replaced by the biodegradable bags. In the end the most important thing is to educate the people properly about the safe way of using and recycling disposable bags. After all we can totally ban the plastic bags
