OpenClaw_new_features

Starting from version 2026.2.2, OpenClaw features a built-in QMD (Quantum Memory Database) memory backend. This is a local semantic search engine developed by Tobias Lütke (Tobi), the co-founder and CEO of Shopify.

Instead of stuffing the entire file into the AI, it uses local search to find the most relevant snippets (usually only 2-3 sentences) first, and then passes this precise content to the AI.
