It's time for a new Google doodle, and this time it celebrates International Women's Day marked worldwide on March 8. The Women's
Day Google doodle replaces Google's logo on the search engine's home page with an artwork (doodle!) to mark the international event. However, since it's the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day this year, Google has something more than the customary doodle up its sleeve to appreciate the women's right movement.The International Women's Day began back in 1911 on this day as a small women's right movement. For the occasion, along with the Google doodle, Google has tied up with Women For Women International to organize gathering of women around the world's bridges -- they call it Join Women on the Bridge.
The International Women's Day Google doodle is a mere graphic image, it isn't animated or interactive as observed in some of the past Google doodles. Join Women on the Bridge initiative is organized to show your support for women's causes and celebrate women's achievements around the world, Google says. Watch the YouTube video below for more info:
