How to prevent network login box when log on SPPS intranet 转
Description:
Nicky asked on Microsoft SharePoint community. When ever I browse to my sharepoint site I get a login box asking me for my network username and password. Does anyone know if it's possible to get SharePoint v2 to detect the NT account programatically so the box doesn't appear and users don't have to login everytime they hit the site (I don't want to use anonymous access, and in case its relevant I'm not using active directory). “
I also met this problem one month ago, It really troubled me because at that moment I wanted to launch the intranet but this login box always jumped out when other log on intranet.
Thanks to my colleague, Tommy Shen, our system admin, finally we got the solution.
This box has nothing to do with SPPS2003TR. It is an issue with IE 5.0 above. IE5.0 above has a stronger security policy.
So the user needs to change the security settings in their internet option.
1. Open IE
2. “Tools”->”Internet Options”
3. “Security” Tab
4. “Local intranet” icon
5. “Sites” button
6. “Advanced” button
7. Key in http://ursppsservername.xxx.com
8. “Add’ button
9. “OK” button
So the spps url ("http://ursppsservername.xxx.com")has been added into the intranet site lists. Then u will not meet the authentication box.
If u do not wanna every user to do this action on their ie setting, u can request ur system admin who can write a policy to change every lan users' internet settings.
