The Labor Day holiday
The Labor Day holiday slipped away in the blink of an eye, yet it was a haven of relaxation. Unlike my peers, I journeyed to my aunt's place in Jiangxi Province, outside of Nanchang.
On the first day, we attended the bar mitzvah of my uncle's nephew, a vibrant 18 - year - old. The lively music and youthful exuberance in the room made me feel the pulse of youth anew.
The next day, we visited a local tourist spot. Despite its resemblance to other scenic areas in the development zone, the warm chatter of my family and friends made the experience uniquely soothing.
On the third day, we returned to the countryside. Just in time for a village banquet! I feasted on a variety of Jiangxi - style dishes, their rich flavors a delight to my taste buds.
The fourth day brought my cousin's dance performance. Unfortunately, the weather soured. Shortly after she finished, torrential rain poured down. After waiting in vain, we braved the downpour home.
On the fifth - day morning, I reluctantly boarded the bus back to school. This simple holiday was a precious chance to soak in family love and unwind.
