smsc95xx 1-1.1:1.0 eth0: kevent 2 may have been dropped
I've been experiencing numerous instances of the following error message in my syslog:

It occurs only when the pi is transferring large amounts of data, and it happens a lot of times in succession:

I've read on various forums about it being to do with the network adapter, and that adding 'vm.min_free_kbytes = 4096' to sysctl.conf and 'smc95xx.turbo_mode=N' to /boot/cmdline.txt will fix it. I've done both of these things, but the errors still keep occurring.
The errors started when I was running stock Raspbian distribution, but on my latest install i've purchased a brand new SD card and i'm running a bare bones install through raspbian-ua-netinst (https://github.com/hifi/raspbian-ua-netinst). My pi is a 512mb Model B.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is this indicating a problem, or are they error messages that I can ignore?

Just for anyone else looking at this thread in the future, adjusting 'vm.min_free_kbytes' to 32768 worked perfectly and i'm no longer getting the errors!
