Huashan mountain known as one of five famous mountain in china , it is renowned as the most precipitous mountain under heaven , and is also acclaimed as one of top spots to view the sunrise in china , if you like hiking , it will be your must-visit destination , cause it's often referred to as the most challenging hiking roads in the world .
Okay dear tourists , before we start our journey , i'd like to remind everyone of you to exercise extreme caution while hiking , and please observe the etiquettes when visiting temples .
Huashan mountain is located in huayin city shannxi province , approximately 120 km east of xi'an city , as a granite mountain ， it has a history dating back hundreds of millions of years . Huashan mountain consists of five main peaks ,
namely Cloud Terrace Peak North Peak , Sunrise Peak East Peak, West Peak Lotus Peak, and Landing Wild Goose Peak South Peak, and the last Peak middle peak jade Maiden Peak . among them the South Peak has the highest attitude , and it's also the Main Peak we will arrive .
Okay the North Peak is usually the starting point , and there are two ways to reach it , including a cable car and the path beneath the cable car. The north Peak serves as the gateway to other four Main Peaks, though it's the lowest one among the five , it is extremely precipitous with cliffs on three sides and only one path leading to the south , making it easy to defend but hard to attack in ancient times , the story of outsmarting huashan , the battle to capture huashan with wit also happened here .
Okay dear tourists after we reached the top of the north peak ,we will head to the Middle Peak next , the Middle Peak is a small peak attached to the west side of the East Peak , and it was regarded as the part of East Peak in ancient times, and the top of the middle peak stands a Taoist temple , called Jade Maiden Shrine , according to the legend , it is a place where jade maiden practiced Taoism , you may wonder who is jade Maiden , simply put she was a princess of ancient qin state ,that's why the middle peak is also known as the jade maiden peak, from the middle peak we will walk to the east peak ,also known as the sunrise peak , as one of top spots to view sunrise in china , the sunrise here never disappoints , every day long before sunrise ,many tourists gather here eagerly , when the brilliant clouds emerge in the east , the golden sun lives above the horizon , like a huge fireball , instantly covering the earth with its light ,this magnificent scene is a precious gift from nature , congratulations on reaching the south peak , the highest peak of huashan mountain with an altitude of 2154.9 meters , this peak consists of three summits , the eastern Songhui summit , the Western Luoyan summit and the Central Xiaozi summit , these three summits together form a giant mountain mass facing north . it's not easy to climb here ,so everyone who can climb here undoubtedly have excellent physical strength and stamina ,standing on the highest top of huashan mountain , we will be reworded with a breathtaking panoramic view , rolling mountains , lush vegetation and the endless vast plains all come into sight .
Okay dear tourists let's head to our next destination , the last destination , the west peak also known as the Lotus Peak ,it gets its name because there is a huge rock and the peak looks exactly like a blooming lotus flower , and this peak is home to many scenic spots ,such as the Cuiyun palace , the Lotus Cave , the axe-split stone , they are all associated with many legendary stories , the most famous one is the story of chenxiang splitting the mountain to rescue his mother ,another famous one is a Huashan LUNjian ,is also well known to every household in china ,becoming a classical symbol of chinese martial art culture .
