英语2-构词法

简介: 英语中的构词法主要有：合成法，派生法、转换法等。

一 转化法：

　　即把一种词性转化为另一种词性而词形不变的方法叫做转化法。例如;有的名词可作动词，有的形容词可作副词或动词。

*（1）动词转化为名词，大多意思没有多大的变化

eg1：let`s go out for a walk.

eg2：He is a man of strong build.

eg3：Let` have a swim.

*（2）名词转化为动词

eg1: Did you book a seat on the plane.

eg2: Please hand me the book.

*（3）形容词转化为动词

eg1：We will try our best to better our living condition.

*（4）副词转化为动词

eg1: Murder will out 

*（5）形容词转化为名词

eg1:you should be dressed in black at the funeral.

Note：英语中有许许多多的英语都兼有多个词性，以上举例即说明这个。

二：派生法

　　即在词前或词后加前|后缀构成一个与原单词意思相近或截然相反的新词叫做派生法。

*（1）前缀

　　eg1: 表示否定意义的前缀有 dis-、il-、im-、in-、 ir- 、mis- 、non-、un-、等

appear 出现-> disappear 消失

correct 正确的-> incorrect 不正确

　　eg2: 表示其他意义的前缀有 a-(多构成标语形容词)，acti-（反对，抵抗），auto-（自动），co-(共同)，en-(使)，inter-（相互），re-（再），sub-（下面，次，小），tele-（强调距离）等

alone 单独的 ，antigas 防毒气的 autochart 自动图表 cooperate合作 enjoy使高兴

internet互联网 reuse 再用   subway 地铁 telephone 电话

小结：前缀一般改变词义不改变词性。

*（2）后缀

eg1: 构成名词的后缀常有 -ence，-(e)r/or（...人）,-ese（某地人），-ess(雌性)，-ful(一.....),-ian（精通.....的人），-ist（专业人员），-ment(性质，状态)，-ness(性质)，-tion（动作，过程）

differ（V）->difference 区别 。refer(v)->reference n:参考，参考书目.v:引用

write(V) ->writer 作家

Japan（）->Japanese 

act（）-> actress

educate（V）->educatation

*（3）构成形容词的后缀常有 -al ，-able(有能力的)，-（a）n（某国人的），-ful，-（ic）al,-ish,-ive，-less（表示否定），-like(像.....的)，-ly,-ous,-some,-y等

nature->natural自然的

reason->reasonabl

gold->golden

east(东)->eastern东方的

child->childish

snow->snowy

 educatation(n)->educational

*（4）构成副词的常用后缀有 -ly（主要用于形容词之后表示方式或程度），-ward(s) (主要用于表示方位的词之后表示方位)

angry-> angriily 。primary（adj 主要的） -> primarily 

to -> towards

east -> eastward

三 合成法

　　即通过两个不同的单词组合成一个单词

3.1：合成名词

　* V+N(动词+名词)

eg: perform(执行，运行...) + ance(状态，性质，情况) = performance 性能 

　　Database performance depends on several factors at the database level, such as tables, queries, and configuration settings.  

四 截断法(缩略发)

　　即单词缩写，词义和词性保持不变，主要有截头，去尾，截头去尾等形式

*（1）截头

telephone-> phone

aeroplane-> plane

*（2）去尾

mathematics -> math

co-operate ->  co-cp

examination -> exam

laboratory -> lab

*（3）截头去尾

influenza->flu

refrigerator->fridge

prescription->script
