NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't comunicate with the NVIDIA driver.Make sure that the latest NVIDIA drvier is installed and running.

step 1:

 sudo apt install nvidia-driver-*(570) 

step2:

sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nouveau.conf

blacklist nouveau
options nouveau modeset=0

step 3:

sudo reboot

 

nvidia-smi
