Decisive advantages in the vertical roller mill

This high-performance, self cleaning mobile screen media helps solve rapid screen wear and blinding challenges in coal processing. Available for modular or tensioned screen decks, 4 panels have more open area, providing up to 30% more screen capacity than woven wire and up to 50% more screen capacity than polyurethane and rubber panels. It employs independently vibrating wires that increase product throughput by up to 40% over traditional woven wire or polyurethane panels by increasing open area and eliminating any blinding, pegging and clogging
In general, ball mill grinding systems are fully enclosed in a building regardless of geographic location or predominantweather conditions. The use of a building has as much to do with noise abatement as with protecting the equipment.Shifting from one product type to another is easy and with only a very short transition period. A decisive advantage of the vertical Roller mill compared to a ball mill is its ability to dry feed materials, such as slag, with a high water content. Furthermore, the operational parameters of a vertical Roller mill are easily adapted to suit alternative products
The ability to cut and process hard rock more efficiently , has led to a vast increase in the types and colours of material being supplied t o the mark et. Greater dependence of the suppliers on the whims of architects, because of a wider choice of materials, has created some problems for producers. Although production costs have been reduced, the costs and risk associated with establishing a new product in the market have increased quite considerably. This is clearly illustrated by the increasing rate at which quarries are opened and closed, especially those producing exotically coloured stone.
A vertical Roller mill is a very versatile mill capable of grinding a wide range of products. The ball mill has proved suitable for grinding not only pure slag and Ordinary Portland Cement, but also blended cements with a wide range of additives such as slag, pozzolana, limestone and fly ash. Several ball mill grind two or more products alternately. Heat will be generated and the cement will be heated up during the grinding process. The temperature of the cement plant leaving the mill will be dependent on the temperature of the materials fed to the mill and on features of the mill and the grinding process. It will typically be in the range from 90 to 120 °C. At this temperature level the water of cry stallisation of the gypsum added to the mill will be partially lost i.e. the gypsum will be partly dehydrated.
