How to Create a Facebook Landing Page (HTML iFrame Tab)
When leveraging Facebook as a marketing channel, you will want to create a custom landing page to welcome new users, set the stage for your brand presence, and show that you take Facebook seriously.
To create a Facebook Landing Page tab, you’ll need a Facebook business page. If you don’t already have one, you can start making one at the Facebook Create a Page site.
Note: Optify gives you the option of hosting landing pages on your own domain, in the case of Facebook content, we recommend you use the default hosting site, pages.optify.net. That’s because Facebook prefers content be hosted on site that uses the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol (recognized by the https in the URL). If you host your Facebook content on your own site without this protocol, your Facebook landing page may not be visible to some visitors.
To set up a Facebook tab:
Create a landing page using the Facebook Content template. For more information, see Creating a landing page.
Publish your form. For more information, see Publishing your page.
If you are viewing your form in a browser, copy the web address (URL) from your browser’s address bar. Or copy the URL by selecting and copying it in the Landing Page Detail page.
In your browser, navigate to developers.facebook.com.
In the blue menu bar at the top, click Apps.
If prompted, log in. If asked, click Allow for Facebook to use your basic info.
- At the top, click the Create New App button.

- When prompted, specify a display name for your app. You can skip App Namespace, which is optional.

- Respond to all the prompts for information, security checks, and so on.
- Under Select how your app integrates with Facebook, click the option labeled Page tab. Enter the name your Facebook page (the ones your visitors will see). Then in the paste the Page Tab URL box, paste the web address you copied in step 3. Then paste it again in Secure Page Tab URL, but this time change the http:// to https:// as shown below.

- Click Save Changes at the bottom. You’ll receive a message that changes can take several minutes.
- Scroll to the top of the page and find your App ID. Select it and copy it.

- In a text editor or word processor, create the following URL:
https://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=YOUR_APP_ID&next=YOUR_URL
Replace YOUR_APP_ID with the App ID you copied in the previous step. Replace YOUR_URL with the path to your Optify Facebook that you pasted in the Page Tab settings before. Finally, select the entire URL and paste into the address bar of a browser window and press Enter. - At the Add Page Tab prompt, select the Facebook page you want your new content added to. Then click Add Page Tab.

- To see your new content, go to your facebook page and choose your page tab from the navigation list on the left.
