I've been using loadrunner for a little over 2 years. I have a pretty
strong handle on the things I do use, but there are some holes in my skill
set in areas of the product/field that I have less experience with. I
already have a C Programming certification from the U of Washington, so I'm
solid there. I've never used a script protocol other than Web, and probably
won't as long as I'm in my current position (with a possible but unlikely
exception being java).
I'm wondering what the course of action is that folks recommend for getting
certified. First of all, do you guys pay for it out of pocket or did most
of you get sponsored by your employer? I've dug through Mercury's
information about the exam, but the only preparatory advice they give is
"many years experience using the product." For $3000, I'd like a little
more advice than that. Also, how long were you a user of LR before you went
ahead and took this exam? I notice that Mercury refers to it as a
class/exam. Do they actually teach a day class with the exam at the end of
it or am I misunderstanding that?
Besides use of Loadrunner, what kind of topics would one be expected to know
for a Loadrunner for web CPC?
Any information or advice you all would like to share would be most
appreciated.
Thanks...
Brian
