Word在浏览器中的显示

问题由来已久,可是一直没有时间来想,想在项目遇到了不得不来解决这个问题.
问题是这样的:
客户端通过编辑Word文档,并设置好一定的格式,然后上传到服务器上,给客户端访问.
但是有要求:

1.客户端不能够修改
2.要方便打印

首先想到的方法是在报表中嵌入word,

1.试了MS Sqlserver Reporting Services 2005,不熟,查了资料也没有找到相似的,也没有OLE;

2.用了一下ActiveReports for .NET 3.0,有OLE可是还是始终显示不出来,郁闷.后来查资料说OLE只能显示一页.只好先放下这个方法,暂时先考虑其他方法.

3.有人提议用水晶报表,可是盗版的不能够给客户使用,费用太高.

然后就想到了word转换成PDF来让客户端显示.
这个还没有开始,找到了几个工具,看看能不能搞定.

开始使用 iText ,查到了如下的信息

Because reading DOC files is bloody hard and no there are no plans to support
this in any future version. You might want to look at Apache POI.
