How to configure ipv6 address

1. #touch /etc/hostname6.interface
The interface is your NIC number
2 #vi /etc/nsswitch.conf
Make sure followings(append “dns” to “Hosts” node usually)
Hosts:files dns
Ipnodes:files dns
3reboot
#init 6
Of course, we can configure ipv6 manually. But I think this way is more easy
4. add hostname
#echo “ipv6-hostname ipv6-address” >>/etc/hosts
5.check whether configuration is right
#ipconfig –a
#netstat –rn
ping inet6 ip
