Sometimes you need traverse the build details for a build definition and fetch their information.

I have the following code for TFS2008. Since the tfs2005 variant is almost not documented, it tooks me almost a whole day to figure out some “deprecated” features by TFS2005 what does the same job, but written differently.

TFS2008:

TeamFoundationServer tfs = new TeamFoundationServer(serverAdress,new NetworkCredential(userName,Password)); // here another option is to use the factory IBuildServer buildServer = (IBuildServer)tfs.GetService(typeof(IBuildServer)); Project teamProject = ((WorkItemStore)tfs.GetService(typeof(WorkItemStore))).Projects[projectName]; IBuildDefinition buildDefinition = buildServer.GetBuildDefinition(projectName,labelName); IBuildDetail[] detailCollection = buildDefinition.QueryBuilds(); foreach (IBuildDetail builddetail in detailCollection)
