Job Position Summary Description:

 

　

Service Providers are transforming their telecommunications infrastructure by deploying their network elements/applications on the CloudBand Network Function Virtualization (NFV) platform. This allows them to reduce OPEX and CAPEX, as well as accelerate the roll out of new services to market. The Cloudband node is an NFVI product as part of the Cloudband solution. The Node holds the cloud resources (compute/storage/etc.) in a self contained cloud datacenter in a box configuration. The cloud node consist a whole stack of software layers that enables the node to provide the cloud services and run its own operations in an autonomous way.

The candidate will join a team of highly talented and performing engineers that innovate, integrate, tests and delivers a product to carriers all over the world.

Develop, test and integrate CloudBand Node Software.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)　

• A Full Stack Developer needed
• Expertise in Linux with 2-3 years experience in the following:
• TCP/IP network fundamentals.
• Low level understanding of the OS.
• Monitoring , Debugging , Performance tuning at low levels of the OS
• Administration / packaging / automation.
• Proven ability to code in at least one scripting language.
• OpenStack experience – Highly desirable Advantage
• Code / Feature Design knowledge.
• Ability to pick up new open-source components, frameworks and APIs and quickly integrate them.
• Any proven contribution history to　open source project - Highly Desirable Advantage
• Experience in any OO programming language.
• Ability to rapidly learn new development languages (Python, Puppet, Django and more are all in use).
• Experience with revision control systems (Git)
• Sharp and tenacious troubleshooting skills: can fix anything by himself/ herself.
• A very solid understanding of networking in Linux.　
• Configuration and maintenance of common applications such as Apache, memcached, Squid, MySQL, NFS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS, and SNMP.
• Virtualization and hypervisors (KVM), qemu2, libvirt.　
• Distributed Storage Management (ceph, gluster, btrfs, DRDB) - Advantage　
• Good knowledge of basic large-scale internet service architectures (such as load balancing, LAMP, CDN's), even if haven't worked on one.　Advantage　
• Monitoring with Nagios/Equivalent with the ability to write checks and automate configurations. Advantage　
• Operational experience in running cloud infrastructure - data center and network level - Advantage　
• Experience with high performance computing and Linux clusters - Advantage　
• Good verbal and written communications skills　
• Ability to work with distributed teams.
• Education - BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
