In the first 2-3 years, I see myself becoming a true expert and master at my role as a software engineer at Amazon. I plan to really immerse myself in the position, understand areas that can be improved on, keep learning and improving myself. Hope to get a solid foundation about how this department works through this current role, so that I can take on better challenges, and take on bigger opportunities and grow with the company in the future.
For the 2-3 years after that, I see myself as being a key software engineer. I could be able to extend my expertise and help other team members using my skills and experience gained from my role. Look for opportunities to make our team and department as efficient as possible.
(Make a summary)So, over the next five years, I see myself taking on as many complex assignments as the position would allow. By the end of that period, I want to say that I’ve built technical skills. I want to say that I’m one of the best SDEs on the team. I wouldn’t mind becoming someone who could train and help others when the time comes as well.
