That doesn't sound like a good idea.
You can point out potential consequences.
You wouldn't be able to afford it.
Or you can ask a question that suggests a negative aspect of the idea.

Imagining the past
Use a third conditional statement to communicate the potential result of an event that didn't actually happen.
If I had gotten rich,I would have stopped working.
it's formed with if + past perfect(had done,had been,etc.)in the condition clause,and a verb such as would,
could,might or have + past participle in the result clause.
If I had been more ambitious,I would have gotten promoted.
If I had quit school,I wouldn't have been so successful.
When the if clause comes after the result clause,no comma is necessary.
I would have moved to Buenos Aires if they had offered me the job.
