[转载]Java TCK
TCK, or Technology Compatibility Kit, is actually a full suite of
tools, tests, and documentation. These are used to verify the
compatability of Sun's KVM technology on a given device and ensure
conformity with the established standards and specifications set by
Sun. TCK ensures that all Java enabled devices exhibit consistent
behaviors across all implementations of the Java KVM. Unlike
traditional product testing that may be mostly concerned with
robustness, performance, or ease of use, TCK testing is aimed primarily
at testing a 3rd party's implementation of Sun's KVM technology against
the established criteria or specifications. TCK is, in reality, a
conformance test designed to ensure correctness, completeness, and
consistency across different implementations of the KVM technology. In
order for a device to receive the Java certification logo, Sun requires
that it must first pass TCK. This ensures all Java devices will be
compatible with established standards.
Life is a journey, not a destination.
