Java Database Developer-Beijing

 

Role and Responsibilities
This is a java database development position.

 

Main duties involves spear-heading 3rd (data) layer application components in java, and must be well experienced in things such as connection pool management, SQL query optimization, writing database procedures, and schema design.

 

The successful candidate will be a part of the excellent team building the next generation of rich media content management, delivery, and e-commerce platforms for Thomson Reuters.com and its many other language editions. The job requires a strong computer science background, ability to work with minimal supervision, strong software development discipline, ability to learn and apply new technologies, and ability to work within the local as well as with international teams.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years related working experience, manager should has 7 years technical and management experience
Experience with MySQL / Oracle,
Experience with Java / Java Wed Application Development
Deep understanding of database  performance and optimization
Experience with writing database procedures
Experience with MySQL Clustering is a plus
Experience with a versioning system (e.g., CVS/SVN) is required.
B.S. or M.S. in C.S., E.E. or Math required.
