English Exercise

$\rm \red{Preface}^1$

In order to improve my English writing skills and remember what I learned, I'll keep a diary here in English evrey day, and $\rm \red{aim \ to}^2$ use $\rm \red{advanced}^3$ expressions. If I $\rm \red{encounter}^4$ new words or $\rm \red{phrases}^5$, I will look them up online or ask AI for help and mark them in red.

2026.2.11

Today is $\rm \red{February \ eleventh}$, the first day!(To my surprises I even forget how to spell Feb. and 11th!)

now, I've $\rm \red{wrapped \ up}^6$ the preface. When I started to writing it, my mom asked me what I was doing, I told her it was my way of practicing English through daily writing--putting my $\rm \red{observations}^7$ and throuth into words in English every single day.

Pretty good day, $\rm \red{overall}^8$! As an OIer, I'll supposed to go on vacation the day after tomorrow $\rm \red{originally}^9$, but a $\rm \red{last-minute}^{10}$ $\rm \red{network \ maintenance}^{11}$ in the computer room! In this case, I have got 2 unexpected $\rm \red{extra}^{12}$ days vacation!(I guess that our teacher wanted to be on vacation, too!So they found a reason, haha.)

I had some $\rm \red{squab}^{13}$ for dinner, it was so delicious that I eat too much and ended up $\rm \red{completely \ stuffed}^{14}$, I'll never eat that much in the future!

2026.2.12

Today is February twentieth,the first vacation day!

As usual, I got up very late with the sounds of my phone's ring at 10 a.m.(That might because I stayed up too late last night.) before I went back to my hometown, I had to stay here untill my parents go on vacation.

After I made an $\rm \red{appointment}^{15}$ with my friends to go out to play in the evening, I started to study like working out math problem and build up vocabulary, witch made me feel tired but $\rm \red{fulfilling}^{16}$.

$\rm \red{The\ combination\ of\ work\ and\ rest}^{17}$ is very important, I watched some short videos to $\rm \red{unwind}^{18}$ for fun. Honsetly, I originally planed not to watch them, but I really can't $\rm \red{resist}^{19}$ their $\rm \red{temptation}^{20}$!

Although I planned to go running this afternoon, I was too lazy to move, so it $\rm \red{fell \ through}^{21}$ again.

2026.2.13-2026.2.14

After a $\rm \red{meticulous}^{22}$ preparation, we finally $\rm \red{set\ off \ for }^{23}$ my hometown!

I felt $\rm \red{unprecedented}^{24}$ comfortable on the way because of our new car. With the movies and snacks, everyone enjoyed itself very much along the way, except my dad becuase he was the driver!

Seven hours felt $\rm \red{fleeting}^{25}$. We reached the $\rm \red{destination}^{26}$ with my grandperants' welcome at the next day noon.

Time in my hometown is $\rm \red{leisurely}^{27}$. As soon as I arrived, I had left learning behind.

But playing made time fly by. Whole afternoon had occupied by playing, whitch made me felt ashamed and regretful. NO! $\rm \red{I \ screamed\ internally}^{28}$.I had completely lost the feeling of learning! I can't waste my time in those meaningless things from now on! I must comeover my laziness!

2026.1.16-2026.1.17

Happy new year!

What a $\rm \red{thrilling}^{29}$ time of year! The old year was gone, the new year is coming! As fireworks $\rm \red{lit\ up}^{30}$ the sky, hope and happiness filled everyone's heart.

But without doubt, the happiest moment is receiving $\rm \red{red\ envelope}^{31}$ and $\rm \red{grabbing}^{32}$ red envelopes on WeChat. Thanks of my good luck, I won a lot of money!

The next round was visiting our relative, the $\rm \red{affecting}^{33}$ bewteen us warmed my heart.

Most of the time, I just lying on sofa to relax, none pushed me or reminded me to do homework, time passed peacfully and leisurely, I felt completely satisfed.

The Spring Festival is $\rm \red{indeed}^{34}$ a $\rm \red{charging\ station}^{35}$ for the $\rm \red{soul}^{36}$, the pain I carried from last year has been healed.

2026.3.1

I hadn't wrote the diary for a long time. But in fact I originally wanted to write it everyday, plan is indeed can't go ahead to change.

Winter vacation is overed, I will back to school later. Now let me summary my vacation.

At beginning, I should stay at school to learn OI until 2.11.

After that I had a 9 days vacation The happness $\rm \red{seems \ to}$ still linger in my heart.

The new semester is coming, I will have zhongkao at June. At the same time, I need balence cultural lessons and comptition grades, effort is all I need!
