  We're proud to announce that MongoDB has acquired WiredTiger, and we've joined the MongoDB team!

   

  We will be directly involved in supporting the WiredTiger storage engine in MongoDB 3.0 and will continue to develop WiredTiger for future MongoDB releases. WiredTiger will remain available as an Open Source, standalone storage engine and we will continue to support our existing customers at MongoDB.
