DB2 Installation FAQ

Environment:

　　DB2: v9.7.0.4

　　OS: RHEL 6.2 with x-window

Problem:

　　The IBM Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms (SA MP) could not be installed or updated because system prerequisites were not met. See the log file /tmp/prereqSAM.log.26279 for details

Answer:

　　As Tivoli Directory Server does not make use of Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms (SA MP) features, you can safely ignore the errors received in the db2install log and proceed ahead with Tivoli Directory Server installation.
