fedora12 ---nfs, mount

  1. Virtualbox

  2. Fedora 12:

Setup and run NFS service on Fedora machine,

  • On your Fedora machine,
    yum install system-config-nfs
    go to menu > System > Administration > Service, scroll down to nfs, enable, start or restart.
    go to menu > System > Administration > Firewall, disable it ("disable" then "apply").
    go to menu > System > Administration > SELinux Administration or SELinux Management, disable "System Default Enforcing Mode"
    go to menu > System > Administration > NFS, add a NFS share drive, (e.g. "/local/home" as directory, NOTE: YOUR_WORKSPACE is in it, here is /local/home), type "*" for "Hosts", select "Read/Write", select on "General Options" tab, select "Allow connections from 1024 and higher", select "User Access" tab, select "Treat remote root user as local root"


  1. On virtualbox:

#mkdir /mnt/target

#mount -t nfs -o nolock YOUR_FEDORA_MACHINE_IP:/YOUR_WORKSPACE/../target /mnt/target

#cd /mnt/target

#ls -l
